Some people are different. In this world, some of those different people have powers or unusual features that set them apart in a class of their own. These are the Talynted.
Starport City, Florida, an aerospace project that outgrew its home town of Apopka and entirely subsumed it, is a hotbed of Talynted people and activity, possibly the densest in the world. While most places on Earth have a Talynted minority of approximately 0.0001%, in Starport City it is nearer to 0.1%. Naturally, it is home to the Federal Talynt Registry, and police both Local and State are equipped and trained specifically to deal with Talynted criminals.
